Since the County was chartered 200 years ago, a lot has occurred in Newton County, recently one of our calling cards has been being the filming locations for many movies and television shows. Join us as we celebrate our filming legacy during our year-long Bicentennial Celebration with a free showing of one of our home-filmed productions - Selma. This is the perfect movie for Black History Month and features several scenes shot right here in Newton County, including the Historic Courthouse.
