Newton County celebrated the completion of a newly expanded and improved Senior Services Center on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020.
The expansion was approved by Newton County voters in the 2017 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax and will allow for more space for members of the County's Senior Center once COVID-19 guidelines loosen.
Though the Center has been closed since March, the new facility will provide Newton County's seniors with a newly improved space to meet, enjoy meals, participate in events and participate in educational programs.
