Nancy’s experience in a variety of settings gives her a diverse perspective on the definition of community. Since moving to Newton County in 1992, she has been an active community servant. Many of our local youth and parents will recognize her from her involvement in Fairview Elementary, Cousins Middle, and Newton High School. Nancy has also served in numerous leadership roles such as YMCA Board Chair, Newton County Chamber Board member, and Agnes Scott Parent Council Chair.
Nancy Schulz is a graduate of The University of Tennessee and received her Master’s Degree from Vanderbilt University. In addition to her duties as the comptroller for The Oaks Course, she is a part-time Family Nurse Practitioner at the Dekalb County Health Department.
Nancy is no stranger to public service. She is particularly passionate about addressing Economic Development. Her work on the Chamber Board, tourism committee of the Chamber, and Educated Workforce Roundtable has shaped her view that not only do we all need a good job, we need one close to home. We need to attract businesses that will provide opportunities for our citizens not only to live, but also, work, and play in Newton County. Nancy will use her leadership skills along with experience in managing a business and 30 plus years of caring for people to serve her community.
